
In my class, I try my best to teach and instill growth mindset in each of my students. It is proven that when kids exhibit the qualities of having a growth mindset, they are more successful in and out of the classroom than those who exhibit qualities of a fixed mindset.
When students, or people in general have a growth mindset, they:
- believe mistakes are beneficial and help you learn
- believe effort outweighs talent
- believe anything is possible with hard work and practice
- believe in embracing challenges instead of avoiding them
- believe persevering through challenges makes you stronger
- listen and learn from criticism
Please do your best to reinforce growth mindset at home. If you ever see your child getting frustrated or hear them saying negative things, remind them of what they can say instead:
